free shipping problems

I ordered 3 of the pie takers 2 days before the free shipping, and I notified qvc's customer service asking if I could get these items on free shipping. The representative said no I could not, and I couldn't cancel my order either, because she said it was allready in process, although it hasn't even shipped as of yet. Customer service said the order has to be cancelled 3 hours prior to ordering. Who would know? It just does not seem right the way the customers are treated.

Its always been the case, you can only cancel soon after placing the order and the free shipping is for the free shipping day only. Can you imagine the nightmare they would have if they let everyone get free shipping for prior purchases.

I ordered an item the other day, I don't expect QVC to change my order to free shipping. Sometimes it happens that way.

Cam you imagine the NIGHTMARE it would be if everyone who ordered something last week called wanting their shipping refunded this weekend?

@little missy. The time the free shipping is in effect is CLEARLY stated. Why would you think something purchased 48 hours before the start time would be covered? I wouldn't have the nerve to even ask. Are you so privileged they should bend the rules for YOU?

I remember it was 24 hours before Free Shipping Day. Don't know if that has changed.

@little missy I think you've got a lot of nerve asking for free shipping TWO DAYS before it takes effect.

NO other business would do this. Good grief. The limit of free shipping is made very clear.

@little missy - I don't think you should expect any company to refund your shipping charges because you missed the free shipping day.

Several days ago QVC announced this would be a Super Savings Weekend. That suggested to me there would be free shipping offered. I put items in my Wish List and started shopping yesterday.

I can't imagine feeling so special that I would expect to be given free shipping for items purchased several days ago, but we're all different.
