Our family spent 30+ years going to college and pro hockey games. For the last 4 years, I haven't gone but Mr S goes and gives the season tickets (college) to all our kids and their loved ones. I'm glad you discovered this game--so much fun, noisy, and nail-biting . {#emotions_dlg.laugh}

We played Utah tonight and in the first minute of the game one of their guys got thrown out of the game for unsportman like behavior............they really were jerks..........PLUS it was teddy bear toss..........so when our team scored the first goal, which they did within a minute 38 seconds, everyone threw in the new teddy bears they brought with them...........okay you have to imagine this........8500 plus people and EVERYONE brought a teddy bear...........8500 plus teddy bears start launching through the air........it was AMAZING lol..............we got hit by a HUGE one that someone from the top threw with NO hopes of making it on the ice........when that happened we just picked it up off hubs head and launch it forward...........eventually it made it...........took them 45 minutes to clear the ice.........all of the bears go to Toys for Tots............it was AMAZING..........................raven

ps...........Utah is tied for first place............AND WE BEAT THEM.............GO CONDORS

I went to undergrad at Rochester Institute of Technology and we had a hockey team. I was in the band playing piccolo. It was such fun to watch the games. I felt for those guys when a bunch would pin one against the glass and throw themselves into him. Enjoy!

Hockey is the BEST. I have 4 sons all started skating at 3. Started playing hockey at 5. The oldest is 30 all played right through college all are now on mens leagues. 2 coach HS teams. Funny the 2 that coach their teams played against each other last night. My oldest is a goalie I' m lucky I have any hair left. Yup fast paced, hard hitting. AWESOME SPORT!

My ex played in the NHL and later coached a junior team. At one point I was the photographer for the team - I got good enough t capture pucks going in the net.

What I like most about hockey? It's usually played indoors and there is a LOT more action than football!

Our son played until he was five years old. Then he quit - with dad's blessings. He was sick of being compared to his father and didn't want a broken nose/scars/bad knees like dear old dad!!!

Hockey Rocks. Being a Minnesota native, and living there for 25 years, Hockey is a staple for most. From the little ones all the way up to the big guys, so much fun to watch.

The old saying was " Giving birth in MN can be difficult, as most babies are born with skates already on." LOL

Raven ~ Enjoy!!!
