Last week I posted a thread about the prices my Vet. charges ... they were outrageous and I can no longer afford them. It was $191 for a checkup (for Molly), $354 to $466 for a teeth cleaning, and then if she needed to see a cardiologist (which Cavaliers sometimes have heart murmurs), that would be another $500. I just can't do it anymore .... my finances are too limited now. Many of you dear souls told me to find another Vet, that these were way too high..

I talked to a good friend whose in the same financial situation as I am, and has a big yellow lab whom she takes excellent care of and she gave me the name of her Vet. Molly and I went this morning, the whole office was very nice including the staff, she checked her over, sort of a pre-dental cleaning checkup and told me that her teeth really weren't bad - just the back ones and she could easily scrape that off. It was not a serious case of tartar. The other Vet. told me it would be a level 2 cleaning as her teeth really needed it soon. I came out of my new Vet's office for today's visit paying $45. I could hardly believe it. So, I've changed all my furbabies over - Molly, and my 2 cats - Amber and Daisy. Molly gets her teeth cleaned next week.

I know many people who have left the other practice because of their prices. They've got 4 Vets., 10 Vet. Techs. who rotate, 2 women in the front office, and every piece of high tech. equipment you can imagine. I think they could probably take care of a human!

This new Vet. has 2 Vets., and 2 Techs. and a woman at the front office. They do surgery and as far as high tech. stuff, I'm sure they have some, but I'll bet it's not all the fancy stuff the other Vet. had.

I am so relieved.
