? - for those who make their own K-cups...

DH and I have had our Keurig for almost two years, but we usually purchase boxed k-cups. On occasion we will purchase Folgers or Maxwellhouse and make our own. DH is OK with this, but I never seem to get the right strength. I wonder...if anyone uses a coffee scoop, how much coffee do you use in your k-cups? I prefer a breakfast blend strength - - not too strong, but certainly not weak.
