Oh, sylvia! I just now saw this thread. Please, even as a new patient, call tomorrow and ask them to see you or refer you to someone who can. This could be serious and even if it's not it's better in this case to err on the side of extreme caution.

I agree with the majority here. Go get it checked ASAP. Don't forget we are going into a holiday weekend. Best get it done before that.

PLEASE GO NOW! Two weeks ago my dad told me his vision was going in his left eye and that he had no peripheral vision. He FINALLY had my cousin drive him to his appt. Thursday and he was told he had a stroke behind the eye and the artery that carries the blood to the retina was compromised. He will be permanently blind in that eye. Needless to say, he's mor than a little bummed out about it.

GET YOURSELF TO THE DOCTOR.

I've had this many times over they years and the best connection I can make is with pretty bad headaches. Once I got completely off the booze I have never had this happen since.

I agree with the majority, get to a doctor ASAP. I am a bit concerned that a doctor after hearing you have eye pain will make you wait until January for an appointment.
