expecting first big storm tonight

Here in mid Michigan heard 6 to 9 inches of snow. Of course by Monday we should be back to near 40 degrees. What bothers me is the news is already predicting power outages due to heavy snow on lines. I'm on a well so when power goes, no water. Bust charging my phone, kindle and filling up water pitchers to flush toilet.
