There is also a problem with romaine lettuce again...I think it is the prewashed lettuce only at this point.I don’t know why this never seems to make the news anymore.I guess they will if someone dies.

@ms traditional Thank you for posting. I had just got a new dozen from Walmart and the Great Value one was on the list. I just threw them away. Not worth taking back to the store.

I have enough medical issues so you may have saved me another one.

Thanks again. I passed an email on to my family members.

Knowing the truth about the egg industry....this is no surprise at all.  I just returned from a  four day workshop with Will Tuttle, the author of the World Peace Diet. We discussed the reality of the dairy/poultry and meat industry.  If you do the research, I doubt you would ever eat an egg.  I haven't in many years.

@phoenixbrd  Ugh.  I realize people have to eat but it's disgusting where our food comes from-and right here in the USA.

I cringe at that Perdue 'free range chicken" commercial; they show about 7 chickens wandering around but in the background are the real structures.  As though 7 chickens can account for all their products in all markets.

Please.

I just looked at a dozen large eggs I purchased last Wed. from Walmart (Great Value) and the code # matches the list I saw on line that a previous poster listed. This is the 2nd recall this week for me. I had purchased a romaine salad mix from Wegman's and romaine is being recalled. Thanks to all for the heads up. Much appreciated.

I wonder how many of the 203 million eggs will be returned.  And if a vast majority are returned, what will be done with so many eggs?

I'm so thankful that I have several small local farms to buy my eggs from.  You can see the chickens out in the pasture around the hen house.  Though they are more expensive than store bought they are so good and worth it!

I am careful where I buy my eggs also.  We have a local grocery store that gets eggs delivered every morning from a local egg farm.  They cost more but are worth it and we don't eat that many eggs anyway.
