The eggs were sold through retail stores and restaurants. They reached consumers in Colorado, Florida, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia. Info from foodsafetynews

Thanks for posting the link to the list. We have company this weekend and we’re planning to make French toast for brunch. We checked our two cartons of eggs carefully. Both were ok.

I don't keep my eggs in the carton they came in, so wouldn't even know the name of the farm they came from.

Hi @CelticCrafter-
You can see the total list-they are sold under different brands-Walmarts, Great Value; Food Lion etc.It has the codes and things you should look for. I don't think they necessarily say the name of the farm, which I'd never heard of either.

Looks like 18 count from Walmart (their brand) are fine.

One of the best up-to-date websites for food recalls is probably the federal government's Food & Drug Administration.
The site does report the egg problem, as well as many others.
Anyone can sign up on the website to receive regular postings in their email about food safety. I used to get them, but stopped the emails because there were just too many of them!

I also want to thank the O/P for starting this thread. I brought my eggs from shoprite I do not have my carton so I can not check that. I saw nothing of this on TV news or in the newspapers and it should since its so widespread.![]()

Went to the shore for a weekend getaway....had breakfast at a favorite spot.....Spent the rest of the day and night with stomach and abdominal pain.
Blamed it on the thin strips of bacon. This morning as I read this post, I realized it must ha e been the French toast! Still not quite right this AM.
thanks for the info.
