i went on effexor because i was having a lot of sweating due to menopause. after two years of it not helping i finally weaned myself off. my endo, a different dr than the one who prescribed it, even thought it was causing the sweating. anyway during my physical with my gen dr, the one who prescribed it, i joked about my lack of memory etc due to menopause and she suggested that this is because i went off the effexor. she also insists i have extreme anxiety even tho i dont feel this is the case. she scheduled me an appt to come back to discuss this. what do you think? i feel this dr is pushing drugs on me. i wasnt taking it for anxiety so why would i need it now. she also didnt think i should go off it for the same reason.
