I submitted two "best offer" requests on two different items to a seller I have previously done a buy it now transaction with. They have not accepted or denied my best offer - how long do they have to reply? I never did one of these before. Thanks!

Re: eBay Best Offer question

If you check out your best offer section in ebay - it will tell you how long they have to respond - usually it is 48 to 72 hours.

Re: eBay Best Offer question

I'm not too sure but I think 24-48 hours. Good luck.

Re: eBay Best Offer question

Thank you Smiley Happy I am hoping the seller will accept my offer since we have done business before. I just thought they would have replied either way by the end of the day. I saw that they posted new items after I placed my offer so I was a little irked I guess. LOL

Re: eBay Best Offer question

Bikkie, I haven't used that feature in a while so I looked it up:

From "Frequently Asked Questions about Best Offer:"

"How long should I wait for a response to my offer?
Sellers are advised to reply to offers as soon as possible. If you haven't heard back from a seller regarding your offer within two business days, send a message to the seller through your Message Center in My eBay.

Offers will expire in 48 hours. Visit My eBay to check on the status of your offers, and make another one if your offer has expired without a reply from the seller."

they could have had those items automatically set up to start at certain times, if they are a big seller...

Just so you know, they do not have to reply back and just let the offer expired.Since you have done business with them before, they probably will respond one way or another..

Re: eBay Best Offer question

48 hours. You are only allowed I think 3 offers on same item, if they decline 3 then you can no longer make any offers.
