I take my dog for a long walk in the morning and evening. The evening walks are becoming a problem because of the mosquitos. It is too hot to go in the heat of the day, but the mosquitoes are horrible. I use frontline on him for ticks and fleas and give him heart guard monthly, but what to do about the mosquitos? Thanks in Advance. I really don't want to spray him with deet, don't think its good for pets.

I use Repel by Dirty and Hairy...I have also used good old fashioned listerine full strength in a spray bottle. I mostly just spray their feet, legs and bellys.
I have to be really careful, have one dog with epilepsy and have lost two dogs to AIHA so we use no chemicals around here at all.

You might want to switch your pooch's protection to K9 Advantix II. It repels/kills more insects than Frontline, including mosquitoes, and it works. IMO, it's a better product. My dog gets a monthly dose along with his Heartgard.
