Just a comment. I was surprised to see my Starbucks thread locked today, only because a mod cleaned it up quite a bit last evening and it seemed OK after he did.  So I'm mystified as to why it got locked when it seemed to be back on track.  Oh well, not my call.  I was just surprised.  I too was posting a response on it when my post wouldn't post because it was Read Only from then on.

Whenever the word 'you', 'your' and/or 'you are' is used, the conversation lends itself to an argumentative tone.   Internet 101.

That may be but I don't see how it's relevant to my post.

At the very least, it's NICE that the Mods "explain" their reasoning for deleting  the Posts and/or Locking the Threads. Their banning (of posters) seems to be absent, also. Smiley Happy

It would be nicer if the explanations made more sense.  I see very "unkind" posts deleted and the reason given is argumentative.  A personal attack on someone isn't "argumentative" - it's unkind.   I don't think the reasons are used very consistently; therefore I don't find them as much value as they could be.

(I suppose this post of mine is "argumentative."  But not unkind.  :LOL!

Thanks for answering those questions, QVC-Alice. Smiley Happy

Lately the threads have been getting locked or deleted because people keep arguing. It makes it a little difficult to start a thread, because even if it starts out nice, it turns sour.

I wonder why people keep arguing on these forums? They know their posts will either get deleted or the thread will get locked. So why keep doing it? The end result will pretty much be the same everytime.

Because they have no fear of being banned, or even given a warning by QVC. Because they know they can keep doing it, every day, without any lasting consequences.
