I have a Ninja Coffee Bar and love it.  I wanted to use my own coffee and get away from the pods and with the many different brewing options this machine is perfect for me.  There's a longer post on this under the Kitchen forum.

I used several models of Keurigs over several years, until I went on vacation and found mold growing in the reservoir when I came home. Yuck. Was I drinking coffee made with moldy water? So I bought a single serve iCoffee that died after six months. Then I bought a single serve Hamilton a Beach that has worked for a year, but takes about three minutes to brew a cup. By single serve, I mean that I pour new water in for each cup, there is no reservoir to get moldy.

I love my k-cups, though, and will always have a machine that brews a cup at a time.

Re: coffee makers

@goldensrbest, I have the Keurig 250 and love it as much as I enjoyed my old Cuisinart-made Keurig, which I'd had for 7+ years. The old one was still working, but I wanted to downsize.

I like being able to use the mug-sized K-cups sometimes for 12-14 oz cups, though I don't like their price :-(

Many people don't like being forced to use Keurig coffees, but I don't mind. However, the excellent-tasting and less expensive San Francisco Bay K-cups work fine in the new Keurigs. Some of these can be purchased at Costco or local supermarkets.

As far as mold - I use Brita-filtered water and the Keurig water filter in the machine as well. The reservoir is clear plastic, and I have not seen any mold at all.

The machine you decided to buy is the one I had been using for all these years. It's a sturdy one.

I just recently purchased an electric Percolator, and ditched my drip coffee maker.  Love it! Makes much better coffee and amazingly its HOT!  All the drip makers I tried were never hot enough.  I dont consider it to be any more work than the drip coffee maker.  The only thing it doesnt have is a timer , which is no big deal to me.

I have an older Keurig and a Breville. I love my Breville. It's easier to fill the water tank and the menu is selection is great. The warranty is longer and the customer service is very good. I purchased both of my coffee makers at QVC but you can find them at BBB, Kohls, on line and lots of other places. I needed two--one for the family room and one for the kitchen. I would recommend the Breville in a heartbeat because it lasts and lasts. I'm a person who likes to make a purchase and not have to re-buy it for at least 5 years or more.
