What is the "fingerprint" sign-in on iPhone?

I rarely shop onQ, but I tried to on my iPhone.  There is a fingerprint feature?  What is this?

It's a way to unlock your phone without using a passcode.  I use it all the time.

eta:  Or are you talking about signing into QVC?

Yes signing in to QVC.  I sign onto my phone with thumbprint.

I don't have a fingerprint on file at QVC.

There is no "fingerprint sign-on for QVC."

The fingerprint unlocks your phone to use instead of entering a password.

Then IF you have previously entered credit card info into your Apple Pay settings and that is already set up, you still need to sign in to QVC on your phone, hit "buy", etc. and I'm not at all sure that QVC accepts Apple Pay - I haven't heard that it does - so you would then purchase with whatever CC you have on your account.

I have the fingerprint sign in on my tablet but on 19 out of 20 times it doesn't work and I have to sign in manually.   It's a big waste of time.

I use mine on my phone frequently, if you want to, just delete the fingerprint and do a new one.

That's a good idea...the first time around people sometimes have lotion or moisture on their fingers, which can interfere with the process.

I LOVE using my thumbprint...in fact, I love my iphone 5S!
