I just got a Mr. Coffee to replace my second Cuisinart. The second one would brew, but the warmer plate died. The first one lasted several years. I got tired of having to microwave my second and third cup of coffee so it would be hot. I bought the Mr. Coffee from Kohl's with a 30% off coupon and it was very reasonable- somewhere around $28.00. It has a delayed brew setting which I always use. So far, I like it!

Qwackertoo, yes they still send the coil thing with the coffeemaker. I actually haven't had to use it. I did one big descaling when I moved because there was very hard water where I used to live.

Sounds like mine.......and yes, the coffee stays hot for a long time......think it stays on for 2 hours before going off, and then the coffee stays hot for a while longer.......

I got my first one at BB&B, and this one at Kohl's too...... Plus, I got my SR. discount........ That is what I like about Kohl's for these kinds of things....the coupons and the senior discount on Wednesday.......

I've had a Mr. Coffee (it uses Keurig K cups) for about ten months. So far, it works really well. I use only filtered water in it and it makes a great cup of coffee. We don't drink a lot of coffee but like that first cup in the morning, so I didn't want a 10-cup pot.

I use a Farberware percolator. I have a 12 cup and an 8 cup. The coffee is always piping hot and ready in minutes.

I really like my quisinart 12 cup that I got at Costco, probably 10 years ago. simple cleaning every so often and it just keeps going. It brews 12 cups in about 7 minutes. They can be purchased at Costco and amazon, about 90. I think. I'd buy another. I also have a keurig for a quick cup, but really, the keurig coffee does not even come close to brewed.

I have a KitchenAid that I like, but I think Mr. Coffee is good, too. My MIL always made the best coffee, and she had a Bunn. But that was 20 years ago.

I have this Cuisinart also.

Best coffee pot ever. I had Mr Coffees for years before this coffee pot and they were adequate. This pot is so much more. The coffee it brews is excellent. They last forever.

I have a Mr. Coffee Jr.-- 2 cups of coffee per day is my maximum. Love the speed at which it makes the coffee and my machine shuts off after one hour. I can set it to start at a specific time too. But by the time I finish up stuff before breakfast, my coffee is ready when I go to sit down to breakfast; I don't use the delay start feature. I turn it to brew now and then do some stuff before breakfast.

Before I got my Kuerig (love it) I learned through trial and error that the best drip cofee maker was the basic Mr Coffee was the best and longest lasting. The ones with the timers always only lasted about a year.

I used the basic model and buy one of these water filter disks with holder and then the replacement disks as needed. It fits nicely on top of the filter basket and filters the water as it passes through.

If you really want a timer, buy an appliance timer that plugs into an electrical outlet and then you plug the coffee maker in to that. I always got at least 5 years out of an $18 coffee maker that way.
