Due to my stupidity I put a twin size chenille bedspread, mattress pad plus a few more items into my Kenmore top-loader. During the rinse cycle extreme loud thumping started and the machine was literally shaking like crazy. It actually move about an inch and 1/2 away from the wash tubs.
In my panic all I did was pull the plug so it is now on the rinse cycle. I was told to move the machine back, set the dial to off and then plug it in and start. I took all the clothes out. I'm kind of scared and don't want to ruin the compressor, etc. If this happened to anyone else here please give me some info. Thank you so much. I'm fortunate that I have enough clothes and stuff that I do not need to use the washer for a few more days.
