The last two graduations I went to were when my children graduated from college. One was at an outdoor stadium at UC Berkeley where we sat on concrete benches. The other was in Boston, at the Boston Garden..another sporting venue.

I wore casual knee length dresses to both graduations, and was more dressed up than 90% of the other attendees.

Would I have looked like a creature from another planet if I wore a silk gown? Uh...yeah, I think so.

It might be the one you're mentioning. It came in black as well as green.

Nothing they showed tonight would be appropriate for any graduation I could think of....but they must want to sell that idea to gullible women, who will buy these things and look like fools.

Sylvia, you got it right. You did say cheesy, and it was cheesier than my dinner!

I did purchase something, though.

I had seen it in a preview. It was the hair gadget set...with a headband and 3 band type things for twisting your hair into buns. I hope it does what it claims. I bought something similar at Ulta before the holidays, and spent 30 minutes trying to get it to work! This one looks a bit more user friendly.

During a commercial break on another show I was watching, I decided to surf over and see if there was any improvement from last years extravaganza.

All I saw were two hosts (don't even know who they were) hyperventilating about the "stars" there. I saw no stars and the hosts were yelling into the mikes trying to over talk the noise from the mob behind them. Never got to see any products, not even the silk gown everybody's talking about.
