bad weather

I live in SW florida and all day today the Tv has been saying we are under severe weather warnings and tornado warnings. It was overcast all day but not even a sprinkle of rain. This afternoon it appeared to be clearing so hubby and I decided to go out for 35 cent wings and a pitcher of beer.When we came out of the restaurant - wow - the sky was ominus and the wind was terrible. We were actually looking for a funnel cloud because it was so dark and the wind was so bad. thank goodness we were only a short distance from home, and trust me, we got home ASAP.Now it is pouriingf rain, thunder and lightening and the wind is amazing. The little lake behind our house has actual waves on it.

I never fail to be amazed at how the florida weather goes from perfect to horrid in a flash.We need this rain as we are in a drought so that is good.
