hihi --

seems my electrolytes may have gone wonky again. my internist is trying her best to keep me out of the hospital. when i saw her today, my blood pressure was 86 over 54. it finally came up to 90 over 60 something. she let me go home because "that is not incompatible with life". how cheery.

meanwhile, i feel pretty crummy. had to take many breaks climbing the stairs to my apartment. breaks as in sit down on the stairs 'til i caught my breath. i'm kinda scared because when this happened in the hospital a couple of weeks ago, it got much worse very quickly. my chest ended up filled w/fluid to the point that i couldn't take 3 steps w/out fainting. don't want that happening home alone, y'know? but i REALLY don't want to be back in the hospital.

will know more tomorrow when my doctor gets my lab results. 'til then -- i'll take any good thoughts pointed in my direction quite gratefully.
