My 14 year old daughter is traveling to Guatemala in June. From everything I have read, some of the places take US money (but they have to be in perfect shape) and the rest, she would have to use quetzal. Would it be best to exchange it before she goes, or go to a bank in Guatemala and do it? Or doesn't it really matter. I just want to make it as easy as possible on her. Thanks for any info!!
