@maximillian wrote:This is totally a guess on my part, but I'm going to guess that these young'uns come from extremely well-off homes and they have never had to worry about basics like healthy food. They have homes where waste is common and they never are taught consideration for those who do go hungry on a regular basis. Throwing away large quantites of food is just a prank. They "pranked" the grocery store and the public. I'm confident that they see nothing wrong with what they did. I don't see their adult years as being any different. They will always feel entitled to do whatever, regardless of the effect it has on other people. In their minds they were bored and just having a little fun.
That is a very ugly way to talk about anyone. Why you are "confident" is beyond me. It's sad that you assume the worst about "wealthy" people.

I am so glad I do not have kids. I blame the parents. They did a lousy job of discipline and making their kids to know what is right and wrong. No excuse for this, especially now. They should throw them in jail.

When I saw the spring breakers on FL beaches, I just wanted someone to hijack their smartphones and continually stream "Where the Boys Are" for a week or so. ![]()
Might work for these hooligans, too.

We know this juvenile stuff happens. It is a sad testament to parenting, but I'm hearing of teens doing kind and helpful things. One even said when interviewed, 'it's how mom and dad raised me'.

Mine are grown and not perfect, but I don't think they would have even had these thoughts.
How proud the parents must be.
Hello???
They will not support themselves! Those of us who WORK and pay TAXES will support them. That's our system here.

My parents raised me right. I still have done stupid things but never something like this. Never would endanger anyones health ever. Just dont know what the teenagers are thinking to do this or licking ice cream, toilet seats either! Gross and disgusting!
