After visiting grocery and drugstores throughout my neighborhood last week, I found the last 2 bars of Dial soap at the very back of the shelf at Walmart.
My DD was on the lookout for them. She'll be thrilled when I visit her next time.
Amazing how priorities change in a time like this.

My Walmart was out of them on Sunday when I was in last. Last night in my shower I used my very small Dial bar sparingly then switched over to the Ivory bar I keep beside it. Then I went scrounging under my bathroom sink thinking just maybe there would be a stray Dial bar under there. Nope, just plenty of the Ivory bars. I use both every night since some areas Dial is too strong for me to use. I was going to go look again this afternoon after work. Oh well I keep reminding myself I do not mind inconvenience over illness.

I think Dial is owned by another company but I've always liked them because they were one of the first to put no animal testing on their detergent bottles but I don't know if they even make that anymore.

I remember as a child that Dial soap was the only one my father would buy! He loved it for some reason! And also, we all had to use Colgate toothpaste!

Do not dispair if you don't have Dial. It's the SOAP that does the trick. ANY soap. The outside of the virus is made of lipids aka FAT like butter is. Wash with water alone and it doesn't do much. Wash with SOAP or Alcohol and it breaks down the fatty protective shell and renders the thing inactive. just like washing the butter dish with soap and water. SO, Be a Warrior! Wield that soap like a weapon and slay the virus that Dare to get on you! Chin up, Eyes open and Carry ON!

Is Dial an anti-bacterial soap? Covid-19 is not a bacteria, it's a virus. Any soap will do.

Dollar Tree had a lot of Dial soap last week....liquid and bar. I went in there to get gloves and bleach. They can remain open here because they sell food so they are an essential business. I don’t use Ivory because it leaves such a film on everything. Never feel clean after using it and it is hard to get off the tile in our shower. DH has to use Basis or Cetaphil. I use Olay liquid. Really keeps skin from drying out. Have put a pump in some of my philosophy shower gels and have used them also. We are really going through the soap!
