My new shelter kitty came out from under the bed and tore this thing up! She has since been out from under the bed twice more to use it and seems to love it. When one side gets trashed, you can flip it over. I think I will get her a few more for other areas of the house (when she is ready to explore). It's from Petsmart. Item: 10845116

Do you know why kitty likes it so much? Has she had the flat scratcher boxes before? I wonder how this is better than the flat ones. I think my Daisy might like this. Seems like the dog gets all the toys!

Hi Happygal,

I just got her from a rescue organization on Wednesday, so I'm not sure what she had before. I liked the shape of it. I bought one of those and a different one, to add to my collection. My giant cat tree has carpet, sisal, and wood, so I figured I would be covered with those three. She is petite (6.5 pounds at two years old) and I think that she likes that she can jump up on it and scratch to her heart's content. I sprayed feliway on it before I gave it to her and she's been happily scratching for the last two days. They are under $30, so I might get a few more and put them around the house. For now she's still quarantined in my bedroom.
