Re: Your feeling on time change (Spring and Fall)

I'll loose an hour of sleep and for those that work, they will feel it!  Instead of 5AM I'll wake up 4:00AM.   Doesn't seem to help when I go to bed at 8:30PM.

Re: Your feeling on time change (Spring and Fall)

In AZ, we don't change our clocks at all which I like. However, we live in 2 different time zones because of that. We're now in Colorado mountain time zone & will be in California time zone with the change. This affects national tv programs, times you can call places, etc.   Wish we could stay in one time zone.

@mormel20

I wish they'd leave it like it is now.  I know it wouldn't always be this early, but I like it when it's dark at 6pm (max).  Being light till 9, no!  The sooner the sun goes down, the better.  I know I'm in the minority... I have a permanent residence there (in the minority).

Re: Your feeling on time change (Spring and Fall)

Everyone has different body clocks. When my kids were little I had to get up and do the things you're supposed to do running a home. Now I do whatever, whenever I want, nevermind what the clock says. And I love the dark days myself. When it turns dark it feels like a blanket envelopes around me. It feels cozy. Hard to explain unless someone else feels the same.

Last fall I decided to not reset the clock in my bathroom and I've known it was an hour ahead. Now it's time for clocks to be moved again and I'm glad I don't have to get into it to change. It feels like time goes much too fast.

I wish we had daylight savings time year round.

Re: Your feeling on time change (Spring and Fall)

I much prefer maintaining Standard Time permanently.

Medical evidence supports Standard time over DST with evidence that the body's circadian rythm is put out of whack by DST and that there are more negative implications on health with DST.

It stays light longer in the summer naturally even on Standard time.  It just doesn't stay light until 9 p.m.!

For fans of all that light you could get a condo in Alaska where it stays daylight for 6 whole months!

...or Las Vegas is pretty bright all night, too!

In California we have voted against time change several times but thus far to no avail.

I see lots of discussions about this, but it never seems to change, so i just live with it. Nothing I can do about it.

Re: Your feeling on time change (Spring and Fall)

Although I prefer watching the sun rise more than blinding sunsets, I'm not an early morning person--so it can stay dark till 8 a.m.  lol

I enjoy the length of the day/evening when it's still light out later.  That goes for summer, of course, but in winter it would be divine, too!
