I sure miss the Colonade room. Sure beats the cold park sitting on a bird do do smeared bench while the snow is blowing.

Oh, yes, I also miss the Colonade Room. Wasn't the maiter'd (sp) named Jaque?? All the ladies looked spectacular in their gowns. Also agree about Summer's dress being inappropriate for her husband's funeral. Was a cute dress, though. Getting bored with the 'kids' storyline. Who cares? I like when they use the older, seasoned actors. Showing my age!! It is amazing how the characters have been married, remarried, unfaithful, etc. Summer's mom and dad are among the worst. They have kinda dropped the Michael/cancer story. Wish they would continue with that, and not drop it. Also, Fen is MIA. Most of the mess at the cabin was his fault.(Spiking the punch, and no one remembers what happened.) Still, I think the show has picked up speed a bit.

Let's face it if you have been watching Y&R since it started you have to be over 50 LOL We have all aged with Nicki & Victor and Jack.

Yes, I miss Jacque the waiter and Victor speaking and ordering in French. Nicki, breaking out her diamonds and gowns. Now, they're all fat and frumpy sitting around the coffee house drinking cold coffee and stale donuts. Nick, doesn't look like he changes his clothes from one day to the next or maybe takes a shower.

Even though it brings back painful memories for all of us that have had husbands affected by prostate cancer they still need to keep us up to date on his treatment, etc. I think when they hired that new associate producer he wanted to boost up the action, then, we had all the plane crashes, buildings falling down, etc.

I've heard too that they may be having Sharon doing bad stuff again. That woman needs a mama to keep her on her meds. She's pushing 50 you would think she could remember to take her medicine unless she's entering dementia. LOL

Sharke, you make a good point of saying we have all aged with Nikki, Victor, and Jack. It is kind of a comfortable feeling to turn on Y&R and see them. That's why I like the seasoned actors, I guess. It's comfortable. I don't like change....new Abby, new Billy, new Adam, new Phyllis, killing off Cassie, John, and long ago, Tracey's daughter (can't remember name), and Brad. Still don't even care for Devon, Hillary, Avery, Dylan, Ben, Joe, Austin, Summer. My list is a LONG list!!! LOL!!!

Yeah, they seem like old friends don't they ? The kind you like, you can watch their problems and not have to deal with them in real life. LOL Didn't like Tracey's daughter-Colleen. another spoiled brat. I was glad when Paul's detective daughter left too. She had a mans voice and reminded me of Brock's daughter the original 'Mac'. Both looked like they should be driving semi's. That 2nd 'Mac' ! Man, was she ever a train wreck. Woman, couldn't act herself out of a paper bag and was not all that attractive. I cringed whenever she had a scene. So glad when her and JT left town. Abby's last boyfriend, Leslie's brother, he was lousy , also. The 2nd 'Malcolm', was horrible also. How he got a part in a popular soap makes me wonder about the casting people.

The original Victoria was the best. She went on to greener pastures as they all do over to GH. At least Victor hasn't jumped ship. LOL

I don't mind that they introduce new characters and a 'younger' set, but in the day, they used to integrate them better into the plot lines, so that by the time they go their own stories they were ready for them and we were ready for them to have them... They don't seem to do that anymore... I'm at somewhat of an advantage in that I haven't fully kept up with YR for a number of years, so a lot of the new people were expected. Of course there are disadvantage too, in that I'm still catching up with a lot of the story I missed and with characters who are referenced that are no longer there and that I also missed...

All that said, though, casting is crucial and I honestly don't know how some of these people got hired...

As for the original Victoria, didn't she first go to One Life to Live and now has been on Bold and Beautiful for a number of years? Or was there one before her? She's the one I remember as being 'the' Victoria and this one pales by comparison. I read where YR had the chance to hire her back and opted to stick with this one... Go figure...

As for GH, it is the one soap, well, along with One Life to Live, that I was never, ever able to get interested in... All the others I watched at some point or another. I also remember that All My Children was so good for many years, but then got relatively stupid toward the last few years of its run. I started out with the NBC soaps and then migrated, many years ago, over to CBS. At one time, the CBS daytime lineup was not to be missed. The writing and acting were excellent... I think a lot of that had to do with the fact that some of them were then still produced in NYC and a lot of stage actors were hired. Still, at one time, YR was the class soap of them all... I don't know what happened, maybe it was when Bell passed away, but the mighty have sort of fallen... Well, there aren't many left, and I guess it's still the cream of the crop, but not what it used to be!

Isn't Kelly like Patty can't live without Jack obsession?....where does he find these wackos? I'm trying to remember the last time Jack had a ""normal"" relationship. Wasn't he either married or engaged to an Asian women who died; whatever it was it was brief I think she had a son too.

I missed yesterday's episode but is it true that Devon is over Hillary after all that! I thought they would be leaving town regardless.

I hope Victoria doesn't hurt Stitch; she seems confused about her feelings for Billy and as far as I'm concern she can have him hook line and sinker.

Re: *** Young & Restless Discussion Group Week of March 9th....May Include Spoilers***

yeah, Jack sure can pick 'em. LOL He did have that psychologist lady who was on the up and up. She looked like mad Patty Williams and scared Jack to death, but, they got chummy and was getting married. Can't remember did Patty kill that woman? I know she shot jack on his wedding day. LOL To much water under the bridge for me. All that Sheila Carter and Loren business was before I started watching. Except when she came back for the 100th time and bought her mean kids with her (Daisy Carter) I was around for that saga.

On today's show I think Devon gives Hilary the air. Wish he would go with her. I guess that was Bold and Beautiful or one life to live where the original Victoria went. I never watched either of them. All time I have in a day is to watch Y&R and sometimes Dr. Phil and this depends on whether or not hubby is home . If he's home I can't watch Phil because he can't stand him and I have to tape it. During Y&R he's blowing off at the table, so, I can't concentrate on the TV. LOL Thank God he's only semi retired I'm rid of him 3 days a week.LOL

Hi everyone! I don't post often but I always check in to see what everyone thinks of the show. I think Victor is talking to Joe Clark in the confessional. The warehouse district deal fell through and Ole Vic paid that guy a lot of money. Sure seems like Victor would be more concerned about his granddaughter Summer than Jack Abbott right now...well at least I would! Don't even get me started on Billy's hair or Chris' lack of eyebrows! Haha. Actually Billy's monotone voice bothers me more than his hair!
