At this time of year many cooking shows surface; and every one sends me away shaking my head when they make gravy. Ina make her signature Turkey Sauce yesterday---Honestly it was just TWO scoop worth. Seriously?? If I do not have a vat of gravy to put on the table, my family looks around and wonders if they are in the right house.

It brings to mind the Erma Bombeck line about gravy--"In my house gravy is a beverage, not an accessory". Am I the only one??
