...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY EVENING THROUGH FRIDAY EVENING... WHAT...Heavy wet snow. Total snow accumulations up to 5 inches is possible, with the potential of locally higher amounts. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph. WHERE...The south central and southwest Texas Panhandle. WHEN...From Thursday evening through Friday evening. IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Whiteout conditions are possible and may make travel treacherous and potentially life-threatening. Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday evening and Friday morning commutes.

@SharkE   I'm in DFW and the weathercasters here are mentioning the amount of snow coming to the Panhandle. Stay warm and safe! Bake some rolls or cornbread or something -- you're famous for your well-stocked kitchen.

@Kachina624   I know that sometimes I'll hear about approaching weather and just move it to the back of my mind. Then when the official alert comes from The National Weather Service or other agency it can be a jolt of reality. We all have things vying for our attention these days!
