I'm with @sunshine45 and @stevieb and @DiAnne and everyone else who wishes the world would stick with standard time ALL YEAR LONG.
And maybe, as @fortune said, if shopping in the evening has been one reason for keeping DST, then thank goodness for the internet that helps change that habit, and makes time-of-day shopping irrelevant.

My 8-year-old Sony knows when to change the time. It always amazes me.
I love DST because it lets me golf longer in the evening. I would stay on DST all year if I could.

You do realize you would have exactly the same amount of sunlight regardless if you change the clocks or not.

Last I knew, since Indiana picked it up for the whole state, it was only Arizona and Hawaii that didn't change.
I wish they would just pick one and stick with it - no more changing twice a year. It seems ridiculous, and outdated for its original purpose anyway, to me.
I have some of the clocks that would automatically change but since it was changed from the original 'end of April and end of October' I had to just turn off the DST setting and manually change them myself. (I just rotate them between Pacific and Mountain time)
But my Emerson - I cannot turn the DST thing off so I have to change that one four times a year. It automatically changes itself on the original dates and there is no way to change that. I just do the same thing and change the zone, for instance it's set on Mountain Time right now and will go back to Pacific Time the next time. But between that I'll have to switch it because of when they changed the dates for DST. pita for sure.

True, but not many want to be out walking, doing sports, or talking outside with neighbors at 4 in the morning. Evenings are wonderful!

I would love to have Daylight Saving Time all year round. For some reason my internal clock works better. Also besides resetting clocks - what about all our watches! More than once I've worn a watch that I forgot to reset !

I was and am still hoping 1 of the candidates would make this one of their campaign issues. It has long past any usefulness it may have ever had in the past. I think the majority want to put it to rest.

That was one of the MANY things I loved about Arizona!
That, and I did my Christmas shopping in flip flops.

Seems a bit outdated to me. Served it's purpose back in the day I suppose, but, it really is not necessary anymore. They should just make it all standard time nation wide and call it a day. It just seems a bit outdated these days - I really have never really seen the point of it anyhow, given that in my life time it was not necessary for anything. I think they need to get with the program on this one!!
