But this one isn't too smart - it still functions on the old system and won't change on it's own for a few more weeks.

I change the time zone to fool it into being the correct time now.

Does anyone else still have an alarm clock like this one? It's about 10-12 years old.

I also have the Emerson clock. It's a pain to use this time of year. Because our state does not observe  DST. So next month, I'll have to change the time zone on the clock.

I wish we just stayed on standard time.  I live in the PNW and at one point in the summer it does not get dark until 10 PM and that just seems wrong!  On the flip side in the winter it gets dark at 4 PM for a while.

The twice yearly clock switching is a pain in the neck, and having to then acclimate to the change is an even bigger one.

It'll never change. Retailers and manufacturers think they benefit from more daylight hours at times consumers are more likely to go out and shop, and hence they believe they sell more of their wares. So they lobby for it. I t seems to me I read where that was a big part of the reason the fall change-over now comes earlier.

Personally, I'd kind of like to see them pick a time and stick with it at least on a trial basis. I do appreciate that certain of my gizmos change time on their own but I really dislike having to reset the others. I also don't like that my body clock is thrown out of whack for weeks...

I wonder if, as time goes by, since more and more people will be shopping on line, the time change will be a thing of the past.

I want Standard time year round.  No time changes.  Our circadian rhythms are in our DNA and go back many thousands years.  Leave our body clocks alone!

I have a La Crosse radio controlled clock that never changes on its own.  It has aggravated me for years, always think I am going to get a new one, but only think about it again on the time change days.

I love DST and having the extra hour of light in the evening.  I would love it all year round, to be honest.

I live in Arizona and we don't change our clocks.  I agree with another Arizonan that we don't need an extra hour of sun during the summer months.  Now I just have to remember that CA is on the same time as us, Chicago (my home town) is 2 hours ahead and QVC is 3 hours ahead.  Smiley Happy
