Either delete the cookies in your current browser and/or use a different browser.

@Mz iMac

I use Safari and have deleted cookies, more than once.

As for a different browser, if Yahoo isn’t going to support what I use normally, I’ll just transfer the rest of my contacts to another account.  99% of the time I have any problems with email, etc. it’s Yahoo.  It may finally be time to call it quits completely with them.

Thanks anyway!🙂

@geezerette      you have to scroll all the way to the bottom of the text [presumably to read it] and then the I Agree button pops up.

Re: 😠 Yahoo & AOL has the right to....... 😠

i accessed this from my mail homepage underneath my sign in name to the right....under OPTIONS..... AOL PRIVACY POLICY (updated)

In June 2017, we announced that Yahoo and AOL had joined to become Oath, a digital and mobile media company and part of Verizon.  We’re now bringing Oath and Yahoo under a single privacy policy.  Some things haven’t changed, like the control tools we provide to help you manage your experience with us.  If you have an existing Yahoo or AOL account, you will need to agree to this Privacy Policy.  If you have not yet agreed to this Privacy Policy, the legacy Yahoo Privacy Policy or legacy Oath Privacy Policy (for AOL) still apply to your account.  For Oath products or services that are accessed without signing into an account, this Privacy Policy applies to those products and services starting May 25, 2018.  If you are creating a new account, the terms below apply starting today.

Not happening for me.

The email I got has two buttons that say Review and Agree.  When I click either one it takes me to my Yahoo login page.  When I log in, I get the main Yahoo page.  No Terms anywhere.

If I click on the links within the email that take me to the Terms and Privacy agreements, I can read the entire agreements.  However, after slowly going through both to the end of the pages, there is no place to agree to either.

I can still access my Yahoo mail and other Yahoo account-related pages as normal.  Some people are saying that even after they agree to all this, every time they log in they get the message to agree before they can continue.  I never got that message when I login and still don't.  Other people are having the same problem as I am—no “Agree” button.  Since these problems are happening with different browsers to many people, I’d say Yahoo/Oath/Verizon screwed up something somewhere.

Re: 😠 Yahoo & AOL has the right to....... 😠

After doing a bit of research, I am changing my aol e-mail to Photon. They are based in Switzerland and have a basic free service and then three other levels (cheapest is $4 a month I think).  Since I'm not going to set up my own e-mail server, this is the next best thing for my family.  My oldest son is in IT and said it's still based upon trust...if they want to read your emails, they can. It's just past time we left AOL anyway. Their demand for all that info is just uncomfortable.

This is just not right but I dont see a way around it! But my emails are boring to anyone but me and the person I am emailing. I have had that same thing pop up everytime I log in too.

So question so I understand the tracking here.

Are they gathering info just from reading the emails or do they actually follow you too through your internet experience if you happen to be logged into your AOL or Yahoo account while you browse?

@Lilysmom

Only on web based email clients like Yahoo, Gmail, etc.  Not on standalone email clients like Thunderbird, Mail, Opera, etc.

However, on a Mac, you are already protected for stand alone email clients as there are options for stronger privacy other than what the Mac already provides by default.
