Happened to me for a while this afternoon. I got in again a few minutes ago. Hope yours is okay now, too!

I wish that Yahoo would fix these problems once and for all.

Who runs the site?

The same people who run this site?

That happened to me so after trying three tries I used the 'forgot my password' option and changed it.

Last week on CNN news they made an as announcement that the same entity that broke into the Target's credit card information was trying yo hack into yahoo emails

They advised to change passwords immediately. I did so and not a problem. Maybe they are trying again to hack into Yahoo email accounts. Just a thought but I didn't see this issue posted before.

Yahoo acknowledged there was a problem but I've seen no details about the reason for the latest downtime. As I said on other threads when they had previous problems, their mail service is one of my least favorites -- but I realize some users do like it. I'm glad it's up and running again.Smile

It happens from time to time with them and sometimes I can't access my folders and sometimes I can't move things to folders... They really should have left well enough alone...

Anyone having a gray circle rotating instead of the next email showing up? I've been getting that and have to refresh to fix it. So annoying.

I use Yahoo instead of the one I get from my internet provider because I don't want to change email if I decide to change providers.

occasional rain, I can't address your question since I don't use any Yahoo accounts, but about the second paragraph: Yahoo isn't the only free email service that's not connected with a specific Internet provider. I use Gmail as my primary even though I've changed Internet providers a couple of times. Hotmail is my choice for secondary accounts and recently I've noticed a number of improvements with their service. There are others out there, too.

Thanks, I had Hotmail years ago then it turned into a nightmare so I went to Yahoo. I'd have changed again if I didn't have to notify everyone. But it looks like that's what I'll have to do. Are you happy with Gmail? Does it have ads?

I used MSN's email for years along with the old versions of Hotmail, and was really unhappy with the lack of support, the increasing spam, etc. I moved the primary account from MSN to Gmail, and never regretted it. (As I said, Hotmail has improved significantly so perhaps MSN has, too.) Personally, I find Gmail to be extremely robust and flexible and nearly trouble-free. The only ad I see is a single, small, innocuous one-liner at the top of the messages in the Inbox (I use several add-ons which might be blocking any other ads).
