Just saw a piece on local news about research into the development of meat substitutes, one using animal stem cells and one plant matter. Did a search on "meat substitute research" as I wanted to learn more than what the bit on the news told and could not believe some of the stuff I found. A couple of the link titles alone made Soylent Green sound almost like a good idea and that movie has haunted me since I first saw it.
