We just sent this large box to our daughter in Dover, DE. We are in CA. Sent FedEx. My husband gets a large discount through his job at AA.

It cost us $85.00 to ship 2 day. Best discount for us is 2 day.

WITHOUT THE DISCOUNT IT WOULD HAVE BEEN $325.00!!!! 😱😱😱

I know shipping has gotten horrible. I know you say your husband gets a discount, but.. Did you ever check with UPS? I suppose due to the 2 day time line is what pushes it up.

Why two day delivery? Isn't that why its costing so much? How much would the box have been if you sent it ground?

Our discount with FedEx far exceeds what we would pay even with UPS ground. Other than 3 week shipping. That might have saved about $10.00.

Glad he gets that discount. We don’t have to ship often, and we have never shipped anything that large. Comes in handy when needed. 

Although now that she lives so far away (for now, hoping that will change someday) we foresee more items being shipped to her.

With our discount the FedEx ground would have actually been $110.00.

I don’t know why but the best rate for our inter line discount is 2 day.

So DD texted me just now and asked if there were any packing peanuts in the box. I said no and asked her why.

And yes...she has one of these. She calls it a cat snake. She just bought hers after she got to Dover. Only 3 months old.

I believe they offer a discount on some of the faster deals so people will be encouraged to utilize the faster shipping in order to fill up the airplane....

Our discount isn’t anything like that. We get a 75% discount with FedEx because DH works for American Airlines.
