Re: *Y&R: Fans of Y&R Soap Discussion Group*

She can draw SS in 4 yrs. wonder if that's when she will retire? Show was renewed till 2017 so that would be a good time for her to bow out I guess. Husband is like 69 ! 11 yrs. difference. Be to many for me. I'd like no more then 5, myself....... LOL My sister's first husband (LOL) was like 10 or 12 older then her, treated her like a dog. she moved on, she was 4-5 older then him. Guess she had the best of both worlds. The young one just died last yr. at 55 of lung cancer. Man, smoked like a chimney. The first is still alive !!!!!!!!!

After reading some of your comments, I am relieved that I am not the only one FFing thru the shows nowadays. Thought it was just me who didn't like the new Billy, Cane and Lily romping about at work, Kelly, and most of the new players...it just doesn't seem like Y&R anymore. Too many new faces. I actually FF thru most of the stuff about Hilary, but didn't she do something to hurt Lily and Cane? If so, then WHY on God's green earth does Neil have ANYTHING to do with her? For Pete's sake, why doesn't he put her on 'ignore'? I may be wrong, as I said, I FF a lot when that storyline was going on. And Lauren wanting a baby at her age? Please! I also think she is going thru the change, and they could make a storyline about that. I guess she thought she would be young forever.

Hillary went after Neil because he was drunk with her drunk mother the night she died as a result of her intoxication. Drunken Neil had left her alone so Hillary blamed him and then after getting to GC proceeded to torment the Winters. It was really weird stuff but I watch sporadically and also largely ignore most of the current SLs and don't recall specifics but Neil felt guilty and now is chums with her.

You make a really good point about a SL for Lauren. I doubt they'd do something so relevant. It used to be some soaps at least had some redeeming SLs dealing with important topics among the trash but now YL is just ALL stupid. I can't think of a single SL that is relevant and not just pure nonsense that elicits nothing more than a derisive laugh.

this explains all about Melody Thomas Scott's husband.

I was surprised to read she's been married like 4 times !

That wiki is ancient I couldn't figure out how people married before me ""recently"" celebrated their 20th when we just had out 25th.

They've been married nearly 30 yrs. It looks like she had a couple of short ones in her 20's.

Here is her webpage. http://www.melodythomasscott.com/#!bio/sitepage_1

I was mainly just interested in her age, how long been married, but, this is more up to date and informative. Everybody is welcome to share links.

I think Neil cut Hilary a break because he had been an alkey (drunk) and straightened himself out , so, now, he wants to help Hilary. She's never gonna be best buds with Lily I got news for her. She'll wind up with either Neil or his 'son'. Can't wait till Kelly leaves !

Maybe Victor will keep Cane busy enough and far enough away from Lily that both of them can take a breather.

Billy is crawling back to Jabot again and selling his restaurant he won in card game.

"" Billy tells Jack he really does want to work at Jabot. Nothing would mean more than working with his brother at the business founded by their father. Jack says welcome back and they hug. Jack gives Billy Phyllis' job in R&D - Billy says he'll switch when she comes back. Jack appreciates that. Abby knocks on the door and can't believe Billy in a suit - Peter Pan is finally growing up. Abby tells Billy she saw Vicky stumbling out of The Underground the other night and she wasn't alone - Stitch was with her. Billy is furious - he told that ba*tard to stay away from his wife. Abby asks if Stitch is after Victoria - she was acting weird - she didn't want to talk about him. Jack tries to play it down and asks Billy if he's okay - Billy says he's fine - he's going to prep for his first day at Jabot tomorrow. Abby is thrilled to have him back. After Billy leaves Jack tells Abby not to open her mouth about Victoria and another man in front of Billy again. ""

yeah, it's getting old. LOL she's gonna blow a artery when Neil marries her. He's ripe for the picking since Leslie declined marriage to him.

TV Guide Magazine: Now that Kanan is returning to the CBS family, any chance you'll loan him to The Young and the Restless? The fans of that show went nuts for him and Nikki [Melody Thomas Scott] and their boozy sexcapades in that seedy motel. We're still talking about it.
Bell:
Certainly, I would loan him. I loved that sick, twisted relationship between Deacon and Nikki. But, better yet, I'd love to have Nikki come over to B&B! That's something we've been contemplating, actually. Angelica McDaniel at CBS Daytime has been doing some incredible things with synergy, and Melody Thomas Scott is amazing. And it doesn't hurt that Mel's husband, Ed Scott, is now producing our show, so maybe I can get him to pull some strings. [Laughs] In fact, I would be very confident entering into that negotiation. I want to make it happen!
