I'm surprised how long they're loaning us a car. It's Progressive that is footing the bill. I'm not happy with how SF is treating us. In fact, I think I'm going to look into Progressive. Body shop said Progressive rep calls once a week to check on the progress.

My husband was getting out of the car at the bottom of the hill around the corner. The development's gardener's truck came plowing down the and nearly injured him and thank goodness did not take the door off. We were able to drive to car to the repair shop and get a rental through our insurance. This was only the first of many scar's that Holly Honda received in the many years we had her.

I'm sorry things didn't work out with your experience. I took my car to the shop State Farm recommended. I wasn't sure about it at first and wondered if they were in "cahoots" with SF to do as little as possible, but, after tour9ing the place and talking with the owner face to face, and checking in once a week, I'm confident he was the right choice. I just checked their ratings online. One is 4.8 stars and the other is 4.9.
He is using genuine Ford/Linclon parts

@monicakm WELL - I had an experience with State Farm recommending a shop to fix my windshield.
I was SO PLEASED with their recommendation.
A stone hit my windshield and put a small nick in it. I learned from experience that a small nick can grow fast. I called my State Farm agent about what they would cover. And his office staff at the time was first rate. They recommended someone. I had previously called a place that advertises heavily and was given a quote.
The place State Farm recommended was half the price of the other place AND the guy came out to the place where I was working and "fixed" my windshield. I did not loose a minute of time from work. He did such a good job you can not tell where the windshield was nicked.
Hope you have the same pleasing experience.
PS - Interesting that you are not so pleased with State Farm. We are not pleased either. Late last year, I ordered a new car. It finally came in. Went to pick it up. Of course the dealer had to change insurance from my old car to the new car. From 10AM - 4:30PM. The Finance guy from the dealer and I was not able to talk to ANYONE at my State Farm agency. It was on a Tuesday. We got a recording that they would get back to us. Finally the Finance guy let us take the new car and he said he would "work something out'.
We had dealt with this agency for 30+ years. Then the Agent retired. Don't know why State Farm picked the new Agent we are now stuck with. But not only were we unable to talk to her agency for an entire day BUT they suddenly put my son on my car insurance policy, when they finally issued my new poilcy. It took at least 10 phone calls for them to correct THEIR ERROR.

@monicakm - After the way State Farm treated you when this first happened, you should consider switching.
