Not really, but an obvious deformed growth out of the crown.  Have never seen this boy before.

I am taking suggestions for his name.

@MamaWick The first name that popped into my mind was a bit racy, so I had best not suggest it 😁.

You sure do get some incredible shots!

And the deformity is where? On account of I have no clue about what the horns should look like without a deformity.....so just curious.

How about  "Broadrick"   'cause his rack is so wide.  My money would be on Buckley in a faceoff.

Instead of the horns going up from the crown, the are starting out sideways...much like an axis deer, but this fella has absolutely no spots and is not as big as an axis.  I wonder if he is a hybrid?

@shaggygirl  Look at the way the bucks antlers are more horizontal and pointed out rather than more curled up and forward.  You can make out 2 other bucks in the last photo where you can Just make out the form of their antlers.  Also Mamawick has been following a band of deer that frequent her property almost daily on this forum. look back and see she's got some great shots of her Dear Deers.  and cutiepie pup Cricket too.

What a handsome boy. How about John Deere or Tex? I'm sure you'll come up with something good.

@MamaWick

MamaWick,

I'd just call him "TEXAS."  Don't they say everything is bigger in Texas?
