Would like a Pedometer recommendation please

Spring has sprung so I'm ready to hit the track and my pedometer died.{#emotions_dlg.sad} Am looking to replace it with one that can be worn anywhere, not just hooked to the waist.

I use mine to record mileage more than just steps. There seems to be a plethora of cheap ones out there but I am will to pay a bit more for a good one this time.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
