I'm a Diettiian, in a large Hospital. Our Department is being totally remodeled and updated and construction and installation of new equipment, will have space at the hospital, limited in varying degrees, until mid-late February, so, I will be working from home, most of the time, until March 1. I'll still go into the hospital, now and then, for meetings, team seminars, and to do patient consults when they need help on the floors. Until March, I'll be a consulting Diettian, working on developing menus, patient care plans, etc etc, lots and lots of paper work (or actually computer work Wink)

Just curious, if you work from home or are thinking about it, how do you approach it? Are you very disciplined, keep to the same work standards, as if you were in the office, ex: breaks, lunch, etc. How about dress, do you dress pretty much as you would, if you were going to the office, hair, make up, totally done, jewelry on? How are you set up at home; neat efficient work space or more relaxed and casual?

I keep to the work schedule, as far as breaks and lunches. I'm very used to that, and it helps me keep organized. I have plenty to do to keep busy, and if I don't, I can get started on set up for the next week, keep a little ahead of the game. Dress wise, I get up, shower, do light make up and hair, but, I'm fine being more casual with dress. I might put on yoga pants, jeans, leggings, and a tee shirt, maybe a little jewelry, maybe no. I know some people say they need to dress as if they were going to the office to get in a work frame of mind; I don't.

My work space is neat and organized, I've never been someone that can be efficient with a desk covered in papers, and stuff all over. My Boss is totally that, "my office is a tornado just hit, but, I know where everything is" and she does!

So, how about you? Do you like working from home? Pro's, Con's?
