I don't usually remember my dreams, but last nights dream seemed frighteningly real. I'm retired and I rarely think about my old job, but last night I was working and it was a stressful situation as it often was. When I woke up it took a minute to realize that I was dreaming, I was never so happy to be in my bed. Do you retired folks ever dream about work ?

@QVCkitty1 I'm not retired just yet, but I do dream about my previous job once in awhile--and they're never good dreams!

Constantly. And they are much like my college dreams. I'm always stressed in some way.

This morning I woke up and (jokingly) said to myself, "Someone oughta pay me a salary for how hard I worked in that dream." Stress dreams where you feel like you need a good night's sleep afterward are the worst! I'm not retired, but totally relate.

I think I read it means you feel responsible and stressed out about something in your life but don't completely consciously realize it. So your brain is trying to work out the conflict for you in your dream.

I wear a fitbit every night.  It tracks my sleep.  It's fascinating to look visually what goes on while we sleep.

I haven't worked in 47 years so I don't dream about work.  I seldom dream these days.

Dreaming is supposed to be good for you.  I am a very light sleeper but I do take a lot to make me sleep through the night.

My Dr said medicine can prevent you from dreaming.

@QVCkitty1 I used to have awful dreams about work while I was working.  Situation was so bad and affecting my health I finally retired.  I still have them every now and then.  Awful feeling but when you wak and realize you're home in bed, all is much better.  Cat Happy

I've been retired 7 years and still have work related dreams that are extremely stressful. Some are really traumatic scenarios. Helps me understand why I chose to retire at 62.
