Re: Words to describe QVC's setup of these new boards

Interesting Woman Indifferent

Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself.

Confusing, frustrating, awful, unneeded.    Wonder who came up with this decietful idea to "improve" (wreck) the nice user-friendly Community we had.    I think this is  a duplicitious and cunning way to do away with our communicating with others, and get us back to their main objective,  buying product,.

I dunno.  I just want to see what happens when I post... and if the adorable little Golden Retriever shows up as my avatar.  {*_*}

I am laughing at some these comments, but I am willing to give it a try.  I am sure the moderators will welcome useful suggestions.

I do not want mobile friendly.  I want desktop computer friendly.  There is an option under "preferences" for mobile and if people are using phones or tablets to read the forums, that is the option they should pick.

I think QVC servers were getting too loaded with old chats.

But they didn't need to add all the cutesy-poo hearts and useless boxes and avatars that are all a horrid waste of space.

And why do responses begin at the far right of the reply box?  At least on my screen they do.

And why should we "click" to go to our post?

And why do options for fonts, etc. pop down to place the box where you are writing so low on the page?

Who thought of these really odd touches?  I can repeat the WHY that many of you are stating.

I believe I have more than 20 posts since 2010, even if they took away all the activity prior to 2010.

I understand they had some QVC posters weigh in on this process.  Too bad they didn't ask those who are more computer savvy.

All of the above and then some.  With some tweaks (hopefully), I suspect most of us will get used to it and I guess that's what they're counting on or maybe they're hoping that some of us won't and will simply move on...  But yes, they want to get the focus back on the product.  Unfortunately, for them, in order to do so they're going to need to come up with some new and interesting 'product' and stop shoving the same tired drivel out there endlessly...

"Interesting" seems to cover it. New is always different and it takes a while to get used to new things.

Woman Indifferent

Not really crazy about the emoticons. They're rather ugly. (But so were the old ones.)

I don't see a way to use quotes.

I like spell-check.

Spoiler tags are now available.

It will take time to get used to all the changes.

Let them get the bugs out....it will be OK.
