@Kachina624   That's the question. This is the first time this has happened -- and so fast! There's got to be some new powerful software out there. Especially if I got postal mail from sites I never accessed.

Re: Word Spreads Fast

This is 100% fictional:

At the 2020 annual meeting of the Mattress Manufacturers and Retailers Association (virtual of course), the Cooperative Software Company demonstrated a new system which would send out reinforcing postcards to anyone who looked at mattresses online.

If any website contained both e-mail and postal addresses (like Walmart), that info would be shared by all. Better to motivate a consumer to buy a mattress from a MMRA member than not at all.

The Cooperative Software Company created multiple levels of participation at varying costs.

The new system was launched for the busy 2022 Labor Day sales.

Last weekend I spent a few hours online checking out Labor Day weekend mattress sales. I didn't buy anything.

This week I received 13 mattress ad postcards in the mail from both manufacturers and retail stores, including some I never looked at.

I did nothing but browse online: no forms filled in, nothing put into a shopping cart.

Yikes!

@PickyPicky3

As far as receiving ads and info in your snail mail I think it has to do with local stores/manufactures in your area usually offering mattress sales around Labor Day.......There's been tons of local TV ads in our area too....

@Spurt   I would love for this to be nothing more than a zip code mailing, but there were so many postcards. I will ask my neighbors and my mailman (if I see him) if others got mattress postcards last week.
