A few hours ago, I received a phone call from my son; he's on his way home from his first trip to Europe and he called us from his stopover in Atlanta.

He sounded excited and happy (and a little tired) and I'm so glad he got to do this when he had the chance, especially because he's young and has the energy to walk 5 miles a day (he said he's got blisters on his feet). I've never been abroad and it's questionable if I ever will make it.

He should be home in a few more hours. We told him we won't expect to hear from him tomorrow as he rests up and adjusts to the time change and he'll be in touch in a day or two. I can hardly wait!

He ran through 2 camera batteries and says he took between 600-800 pictures. I'm going to make a special dinner for him next weekend using my new stove and he'll show us the pictures, distribute presents, and tell us all about it.

Welcome home, honey!
