I'm in the metro-DC area and am nervously awaiting the wrath of "Sandy". I live in a 3-story townhouse. I was on a phone call and my doorbell rang. The wife of my neighbor at the end of my section said her husband was up on the roof next door and was cleaning out their gutters. Would I like him to do mine! I was waiting until the leaves had fallen, since I don't really collect a whole lot of leaves. But not only did he clean the leaves, but he brushed out all the dirt that tends to turn almost to cement. But then he went a step further. He checked out areas along my roof line and nailed down anything that appeared loose! What a neighbor! (Needless to say, I tipped him well, since he wasn't asking for anything - just being neighborly.) I'm feeling blessed right about now, despite what might lie ahead for us in the path of the storm.
