Wonder If I Will Ever Feel Prepared For Retirement

I ordered the last B. Makowsky bag that he presented tonight. Then I relaxed in the bathtub with the latest AARP magazine. Read about how we need to save. I cancelled my order. It seems to me that if you don't have an "old fashioned" retirement plan that acts like an annuity for the rest of your life, it's difficult to know if savings are enough. I know that I can always purchase an annuity, however, to purchase a fixed annuity at age 62, one would need to invest $190k to get $1,000 a month for life. YIKES! Hopefully I will be able to keep a job for another 4 years when I am 66. At least my Social Security monthly payments would increase by about 25%.

OK, so along with my annual New Years resolution to get in better shape physically, I will have to commit to doing so financially also.
