I saw it on the evening news.  Insanity!  I'm sure if the lion had hurt her it would have been euthanized.

She looks/acts like she is mentally challenged.  She doesn't appear to be "taunting" the animal; more like a child who just wanted to say "hi".  Fortunately the lion did not react to her.

I'm preplexed as to why it is so easy to get where she did.

I worked at a zoo for several years. I've seen people do things that were just wrong. I even saw a woman get mauled by a tiger and nearly killed. That woman went beyond the safety barrier just so she could place her camera lens in between the bars on the barrier to get an unobstructed picture of the tiger. Idiot.

More and more people will do anything and everything for attention and/or social media followers.  If this is not the case I hope she gets whatever helps she needs.

I was going to say "Cruelty to Animals," until I read @Citrine1 's post. Anyone who does not have a mental illness who does this to an animal should go to jail promptly.

It mentioned there was a moat between them.  Hopefully "this fool" won't try a similar stunt with a tiger, because evidently they WILL swim voluntarily.

Seems other big cats will if they have no choice.
