I want to know if she accepted the job back ..... or told them to shove it!

In our state, there is no "cooling off period" for tips- If he left it, WITH decimal points and everything- he should be obligated to pay it-
Its not like some door to door salesman showed up at his house, bamboozled him into buying a set of encyclopedias, and then he had buyers remorse!
One must assume he has both 1) eaten in restaurants before, AND 2)paid with a credit card - so he knewwhat he was doing-
IF he had written 200 without the decimal pint, there might have been confusion, but if he wrote 200.00 WITH decimal points, he is responsible for his actions

Keep the tip and move on. Oftentimes the news show where someone appreciates the service they receive and get a huge tip because the customers know it doesn't pay well and servers depend on tips. Oftentimes you see it as part of a "pay it forward" kind of thing.
And a week later - customer - - you snooze, you lose.

I think she should keep it and I also think Ihop should give her back wages for the days she lost being fired. If the restaurant paid out the tip then they should have had a better control system for tips paid by credit card.
