Northeastern Indiana here and bracing for the cold. When is hasn't been cold for so long it's a little hard to take....windy and cold is the worst. It just goes right through ya. We have the generator ready to go in case. Right now it's around 39 or 40 with light rain off and on. It's so funny looking. Our grass is fairly green and their are light yellow green tips on our evergreens and we saw robins this morning! Weird......

We had a foot of snow last week, but haven't had the really low temps. Getting them starting tonight though. It was bound to happen. The sooner they come and go, the closer to spring.

I'm here in Chicago, near O'Hare, & it's really coming down now, we'll also go into the deep freeze soon, I think they're predicting 3-6", so we'll see.

@jubilant - I know, they said 40 mph winds plus the cold! It's raining here too quite heavily. I think NW Indiana will get most of the snow.

We are in SW Colorado. We've had snow just about everyday for over 2 weeks. So glad the sun is out today. Single digits tonight. We totaled about three feet. Be careful out there. Driving can be sketchy...DW

@dancingwoman - I can't even imagine how many accidents there will be when the first snow comes through - people forget how to drive!

It is currently 5 degrees with a -14 wind chill...much more like our normal weather. Tonight will be -8 with -30 winds and tomorrow will be 2 degrees for a high.

Folks who go to the Vikings game will definitely need their faces covered. Being stuck in a seat and not being able to move around in these temps is not the best scenario.

It has already started here in Southeastern Wisconsin, however it doesn't seem to be sticking yet-probably not cold enough.....Tonight it will be though-freezing temperatures for the rest of the week!Winter is here.......
