@akaburtonfan  Would so love to be getting your snow right about now! We have rain and about 31 degrees. UGLY! PA just doesn't get enough snow lately.

I feel for you, I cannot wrap my head around 30 inches before 12/1.  I'm in MA and Jan and Feb tend to be our snowiest months.  I'm praying we get a low snow year.  We are expecting snow on Monday and Snow with high winds on Tuesday.  It's the same storm but we're going to to be whacked once and then wacked again.  The good part is that while it will be shovable snow, there won't be a huge accumulation.  I believe the forecast is a combined total of about 6-8 inches for my area.  Do big deal but tv weather and some people will act like it's snowmageddon...LOL

Re: Winter weather...

[ Edited ]

Chrystaltreee — we don’t always get this much this early. Last year we had a fairly normal winter until February when we got hit with ice and about 100” of snow.I’m hoping that we’ll get snow now and then in February and March it will start to taper off.

@QVCkitty1 — my son is in the Hudson Valley and was supposed to be getting snow too. I guess those of us that live in areas where snow is a part of winter have to get used to it. I’ve lived here most of my life but am just not a winter/snow person.

Well right now it’s sunny and 69 degrees in NOLA. A cold front will move through over night so the high tomorrow will be only 55 - nice and cool. Wonderful winter weather is our reward for hot humid summers and hurricanes.

@akaburtonfan @You know , I loved it in my younger days, now I just see the inconvience. I need an attitude adjustment. 😻

I live in a community outside of Ft Lauderdale, Florida. It's sunny and low 80's here. High humidity is gone and it is lovely weather. I enjoy the occasional cooler temps that allow me to open the windows and patio doors for fresh air to come in. No sweaters, jackets or boots need apply here!

I just got done shoveling my deck. It took 40 min. Normally 15 to 20 min. Then I did the mailbox area. I don't shovel the front sidewalk as no one uses it. I am in the two feet of snow area since Friday night. Shoveled twice, plowed out three times. I hear the snowmobiles so they are happy along with the Xcountry skiers. At least the septic system is insulated. Last year it froze as snow was late and a few nights of -30 was brutal. The earlier freezing rain stayed icy on side roads all Winter. Freezing rain is worse and so slippery.

A White Christmas this year.

SO FAR her in Seattle WA. Area it has been very calm. Cool...40's....but no storms and actually it is very dry when we normally have a lot of fall rain.  pretty unusual.  Sometimes when we have these types of winter starts we get hit with a huge wind event out of the blue. I hope that is not the case.

last year about this time we had a huge snow storm dumping feet of snow  that really messed things up for about a week....we are not set up for snow with all the hills here.

so I guess we will see what happens.......
