How awful! Are you stuck in your home or are you able to get around certain areas @On It ?

@Estellee We just got back from Starbucks. We know the village and avoid low-lying areas. We have to use the longer routes around flooded areas, but it is not an issue.

Some areas along the river and creeks are absolute disasters. They are letting residents of the Upper Canyon which is narrow and has the river running through it back into their homes to retrieve personal items from 6:30 am to 9:00. They must leave at 9:00 am as storms are expected about 10:00. Many homes were lost yesterday along the river.

@On It Glad you are safe and doing the best under these horrific circumstances.  I've been through a tornado so I have an inkling of what is going on in your community.

Be well.

Flooding has begun again in the area, Wednesday, July 10. Highway 70 that connects Roswell to Alamogordo has been shut down. They are now closing Highway 48 (Mechem) at Sudderth. That is a major traffic nightmare.
