I have worked for several stores.  They all put on weekly specials, your grocery store does as well.

 

This week "Anne Klein" pants were 40% off, last week 30% off.  No different than rump roast at the grocery store. 

 

Prices change in all retail.  The advantage is you got the size and color you wanted when you took the leap.
